✩#98 Themed Weddings Japanese Style✩

As a lot of you know, I am engaged. So weddings are definitely on my mind. Aside from regular ceremonies, themed weddings have always been a thing with ideas like zombie, farmhouse, Sailor Moon, etc. But of course, Japan has taken it to a whole new level.

Did you know that you can have a Final Fantasy or Pokémon theme?

Square Enix has partnered with Kobe wedding venue Duexzero, giving clients the choice of a Final Fantasy XIV wedding. In the game, you can do what’s called the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, in which two players can pledge their characters’ hearts to one another.

Newlyweds-to-be will exchange their vows dressed in recreations of the game’s Garments of Devotion (pictured below).

The Final Fantasy XIV Wedding Plan will also feature special menu items to be served at the reception!

And is this really their chapel?!

Now if you’re like me and the love of your life is all about Pokémon, this next theme might be the one for you!

The Pokémon wedding, produced by Japanese wedding planning company Escrit, will be a super cute option.

Escrit has many chapels all over Japan. They are super fancy, but clients will have the option of adding some Pokémon flair to just about everything.

The package includes place cards and program decorated with sweet illustrations of a bride and groom version of Pikachus with their tails poking out from a bed of flowers.

And these cuties will greet your guests as they walk in!

If you’re having a Pokémon wedding, then the cake has to be perfect. Meaning all Pokémon-related. And since Pikachu is the main mascot, you will get a light yellow cake complete with citrus slice decorations and pokeballs!

Since the theme is still pretty new, not everything is entirely set. But how cute would it be to toss one of the Pokeball macarons at your spouse to “catch” them?!

Just look at these adorable desserts!

Escrit hinted that the package also features a “wonderful performance,” so maybe you’ll get to see Pikachu himself?! The company is currently taking reservations with interested parties through its website here, with reservations available from February 27.

I’m not even going to hide it. I would definitely be interested in either one of these! Maybe I can try to get one of these ideas or something similar in his head ;o
